Hello friend,
I am the wife of an incredibly helpful and supportive husband and mother of two, one boy and one girl.
I am a small town Kentucky native and country girl at heart. I lived in New Mexico and Oklahoma for a few years and found myself wanting to come back home.
We sold 60% of what we owned and followed the Lord’s nudging to come back to Kentucky. Here we lived with my parents for 3 years (bless their souls) and built our dream farmhouse ourselves and own 5 acres of the 42 of family land.
It is on this property we have been able to really use the gifts God has given us to raise our children the way we want and teach them about gardening, raising animals, self-sufficiency, using our hands, living a life of peace, using plants for natural remedies, whole food, sourdough, oils, herbs and everything in between.
Above is a picture of our chicken coop and part of our garden.
At any given day you will find sourdough, Legos, a new creation of something my children (or I) have made. You will definitely find some mud, sticky surfaces and love that reside in every room.
It took me a while to figure out why God made me the way he did, but I did eventually figure it out and embrace it. I love creating and using my hands. I love teaching others to do so too.
The story behind the name Ministry of the Homemaker is that my heart and mission field is in my home. The house represents the homemaker (and all things home), yes I know how clever , but the hearts represent doing the work of motherhood and raising them in God’s word and someday releasing them into the world (the heart steam coming out of the chimney) knowing that I raised them with God at the focus.
You will see things about:
homesteading (gardening, chickens, sourdough, recipes, etc.)
homeschooling (chores, curriculum, daily rhythms, etc.)
home ministry (raising kids in God’s word, strong biblical foundations, books and Bibles we love, things we have experienced, faith building stories, etc.)
My two children!

A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
I spend a lot of summer weekends at Dale Hollow Lake.
I used to be super allergic to dairy and God healed me.
I love shiplap and if my husband would agree to do every wall in the house, I would totally do it.
I am the daughter of a very creative and skilled homemaker and the world’s best dad and friend who is skilled at anything he does.
I have 4 siblings.
My parents, 2 of my siblings and their families and my uncle live on 42 acres. (Everyone in their own houses) However, my husband, myself, our two children, my sister while pregnant, her husband and my parents all lived in my parents’ house while my sister and I built our houses.
Come on friend, let’s get our feet wet together in all things life!
